Distance: 15–20 miles · gentle rolling terrain

An easy afternoon warm-up ride through Ballard Canyon and into the charming village of Los Olivos. Stop at Carhart Vineyard Winery for a relaxed tasting on the patio before returning to Solvang.

DAY TWO: Monday — “Happy Canyon & Roblar Winery” Accommodations: Hotel Corque (Solvang, CA)

The week’s most memorable ride follows Santa Rosa Road west through vineyards to the Pacific Ocean. Descend to legendary Jalama Beach — famous for its remote beauty and the iconic Jalama Beach Store & Grill.

DAY FIVE: Thursday — “Gibraltar Climb – Santa Barbara” Accommodations: Hotel Corque (Solvang, CA)

Route: “Gibraltar Climb – Santa Barbara”
Distance: 28-40 miles, option to continue to La Cumbre Peak for loop
Elevation Gain: ~3,800′
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Gibraltar Road is one of the most famous cycling climbs in California, featured in the Tour of California. This guided ascent takes you from downtown Santa Barbara up through chaparral-covered mountains with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
