About This Tour
This route predominately travels the bike paths along the beaches between Santa Barbara and Summerland. Beginning with a descent through the low foothills near the start, you’ll pass the stunning landscapes of the Santa Barbara waterfront and the Andree Clark Bird Refuge before settling into a mostly flat beach cruise.
Santa Barbara is known as America’s Riviera for its breathtaking ocean views and the temperate climate which allows for botanical diversity and vibrant colors seldom seen elsewhere.
For those wishing to climb, there is an optional alternative ride back through the foothills of the Riviera and along Mountain Drive, offering panoramic views of the Santa Barbara coastline and the Channel Islands.
