This multi-day cycling tour includes many of our favorite rides in the Santa Barbara Wine Country and along the Mediterranean-like coast of Santa Barbara. You’ll awake each morning to find an entirely new day filled with spectacular cycling, followed by first class wine & gourmet dining in the evenings. Tour includes 5 days of guided cycling, bike rentals, gourmet lunches & wine tasting, fine dining, vehicle support and luxurious accommodations.

The guestrooms are complete and ready for you to relax and unwind and a wonderful breakfast is included.

A luxury boutique inn located in downtown Santa Barbara, just a few blocks from fine dining, theaters and shopping; offers a contemporary and sophisticated Spanish-Mediterranean motif with quality amenities and close attention to personal service.
The inn features king beds with frette linens, fireplaces and deluxe bath amenities.
Each room includes either a private balcony or garden. Deluxe breakfast included.
Day-to-Day Itinerary
DAY ONE: Sunday “Shuttle from Santa Barbara to Solvang”
Accommodations: Hadsten House Inn & Spa 12:00 PM Airport pickup at Santa Barbara Airport with optional Shuttle to Solvang.1:00 PM Arrive at Hadsten House
Following our arrival at Inn, introductions and bike fittings will take place. hose interested in the afternoon ride will get ready.
Route: “Heart of the Valley” Ride
Distance: Approximate 22 miles. Level of Difficulty: Easy
We will kick off our week of riding with an easy scenic loop through the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. We will ride gentle, well-paved roads past horse ranches, apple orchards and vineyards with views of the magnificent San Rafael Mountains. After passing through the quaint town of Los Olivos, we will ride through picturesque Ballard Canyon.
7:00 PM Dinner at Trattoria Grappollo in Santa Ynez.
DAY TWO: Monday “Happy Canyon Loop”

Route: “Happy Canyon Loop”
Distance: Approx. 25-35 miles with options for more.
Level of Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
This spectacular ride takes you through picturesque back country roads alongside sun-draped vineyards. Enjoy views of oak-studded rolling hills with majestic mountain tops in the distance. Option to climb part of the climb at the end of Happy Canyon.
We will stop at the Claremont Lavender Farm at the peak harvest of the season, as we smell the aroma of freshly cut Lavender. A brief discussion of how lavender is pressed into oil is included, before we continue on to Brander Winery for a gourmet picnic lunch and wine tasting.
After lunch we will make our way through the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley past horse ranches and farm land, en route back to the Danish village of Solvang.

DAY THREE: Tuesday “Foxen Canyon Route”

Route: “Foxen Canyon Wine Trail”
Distance: Approx. 25-35 miles with options for more. Level of Difficulty: Moderate
This ride will take us through Foxen Canyon along some of the most beautiful country roads in the area, secluded and pristine.
After the two short hills in the early part of the ride, we experience a nearly 10 mile slight downhill to the entrance to Rancho Sisquoc Winery. A beautiful gourmet picnic lunch awaits you in a grassy clearing surrounded by Olive trees.
After lunch and optional wine tasting, we will head back along the same route, a steady uphill, with two half mile climbs or ride back in the SAG vehicle.

DAY FOUR: Wednesday “Santa Rosa River Valley”

Route: “Santa Rosa River Valley”
Distance: Approx. 35-45 miles. Level of Difficulty: moderate
This route offers the perfect contrast of rolling wine country hills and the flowing Santa Ynez River. We will pass through the outskirts of Solvang through the town of Buellton, made famous from the movie Sideways.
Our ride continues along a beautiful country road for a cruise though past bucolic vineyards and farms. This region is home of the Santa Rita Hills known for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We return on the same road stopping at Alma Rosa for a gourmet picnic lunch and wine tasting.
After lunch we will continue back along rolling hills and horse ranches before passing through Buelton en route to Solvang.

DAY FIVE: Thursday “Santa Barbara Foothills & Waterfront”

Distance: Approximate 25-35 miles with options for more.
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
Today we will be treated to a ride through the foothills of Santa Barbara. A visit to Santa Barbara would not be complete without a ride along the “Santa Barbara Riviera”, which features breathtaking views of the Santa Barbara Harbor and the Channel Islands.
After a stop to see the Santa Barbara Mission, we will continue to make our way towards the coast, where another spectacular gourmet picnic lunch awaits us.
7:00 PM Farewell dinner at one of our local favorites in Santa Barbara.
DAY SIX: Friday “Breakfast and Goodbyes”
Morning Following another breathtaking sunrise, and a plentiful breakfast, our journey through the Santa Barbara Wine Country comes to a close.
