-
Canceling a multi day tour or package: Within 7-1 days prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is 10% of your total fees. Depending on hotel policy, additional fees may apply. Within 24 hours prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is the entire cost of hotel plus 50% of total tour fees.
* late fee determined by specific hotel policy
** partial refund pending specific hotel policy.
- Because we properly staff your tour in advance it is a hardship on our employees to schedule life and work around cancelled tours. We strive to be sensitive to extenuating circumstances and inclement weather. If you are charged a cancellation fee, you may apply the fee to any future tour scheduled within 12 months of the cancellation.
- Do bike tours require a deposit?
- We require a 10% deposit on multi-day tour packages. Once the tour and hotels are confirmed, we will send you a confirmation with pertinent tour information. The balance of the tour price is due upon your arrival.
- How should we dress for a bike tour?
-
Layer your clothing. Mornings are cool and, depending on the season, can be overcast below the marine layer. Late mornings and afternoons warm up significantly, and although long sleeves or a light jacket might serve you well in the morning, you'll prefer short sleeves by lunch.
- If your tour includes lunch, you may always send any unwanted clothing back with the driver. Many riders prefer sunscreen; sunglasses are recommended.
- Experienced cyclists will prefer bike shorts and biking gloves. We have a variety of bicycle-specific clothing available for purchase.
- What’s for lunch?
-
Our gourmet picnic lunch is a true show stopper with local items fresh from the Santa Ynez Valley.
- Prepare for a luxury outdoor dining experience — complete with flatware , glassware, and wine country ambiance — as we proudly display our local favorites, including olives, salad, local fruits, breads, cheeses, and more.
- Please make us aware of any dietary restrictions and we'll be happy to accommodate.
- Can my tour date be flexible?
- Because we properly staff your tour in advance it is a hardship on our employees to schedule life and work around rescheduled tours without advance notice.
- Please notify our office right away to request a revision to your tour itinerary. We cannot guarantee a revision, but we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs.
- I’m not a strong cyclist. Will I be safe?
- Even if you have not been on a bicycle in years, your guide will customize your tour to meet your needs and interests. We value your safety above all else. All riders and guests will be required to sign a release of liability and follow bicycle safety rules at all times.
-
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian on the road. Tour participants are responsible for reading all terms and conditions, pre-trip materials, and alerting our staff of any pertinent medical conditions. Helmets are required at all times when riding. We select quiet, less-traveled roads whenever possible.
- Due to circumstances beyond our control, we may at times change or alter routes or choose different accommodations. SBWCCT will always keep such changes to a minimum and provide the same quality of service and accommodations. SBWCCT is also not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time tour participants are not on board their conveyance.
- Our trained staff will provide you with a most enjoyable cycling vacation. Your gear will be transported to each destination, if necessary, so you need to carry only what you need for the day. Our friendly support team will be on the road during tours so that you can be assured that help is nearby if needed.
