FREE Kids Bike Safety Clinic at Solvang School Attracted 40+ Students on Saturday, May 7, 2011

Each student received a Complete ABC’s Bike Safety Inspection (Air, Brakes, Chain, & Seats); free Bike Helmet courtesy of Santa Ynez Valley Rotary; free water bottle courtesy of Dr. J’s Bicycle Shop, as well as a tire patch kit and other bike related gifts. The event was coordinated by John Padfield, Education/Community Outreach Director for the Solvang LOC and long-time teacher at Solvang School. Route varies each week/
Approx. 25-35 miles. Pace is 18-20 mph.
Wednesday Night MTB Ride
This ride meets at the Dirt Club in Los Olivos at Charlotte's Meadow. Ride Starts at 6:00 pm. Bring lights if needed. Year-Around.
Routes for beginner through Advanced riders.
Wednesday Ladies Ride
Meet at Dr. Js at 6:00 pm. Seasonal ride (April through September).
Route varies. Pace is 12-14 mph. All our welcome.
Saturday Ride
Meet at Bulldog Cafe (across street from Dr. Js) at 9:00 am every Saturday.
Route is the "Valley Loop"
Approx. 45 miles. Pace is 19-22 mph.
Sunday Ride
Meet at Bulldog Cafe (across street from Dr. Js) at 9:30 am every Sunday.
Route varies 25-35 miles.
Difficulty: beginner to intermediate. Pace is 14-16 mph..
